NYC 3.4.10
Oh my GOD!!!!!!!!!!

Another utterly fantastic evening........from what I can remeber as my wife is just now reminding how overserved I was.........ah well tends to happen when I get excited! and fortunately most of the shenanigans were after we left the venue!!

Just a wonderful night - the place was great - very very new york and a great large room downstairs.....the place was packed!!!! Definitely more than Philly........similar setlist

Nothing At All
Panic
I Don't Care What You Call me
To Hell with the World
She's Not the One - awesome!
Stephen - brilliant
Requiem
Waiting For the Storm
Go to Hell
Song For the Road

Set was shorter last night because there was a time restriction imposed by the venue.........

I know we are very much new to this all but I cannot relay how utterly impressed both Maria and I are by this man - he is obvioulsy incredibly intelligent but also very down to earth, funny, articulate, polite, kind, humble etc etc but also spiritual..........there is something about Ford that transcends all - he is just a brilliant brilliant man

And Wibberley ain't too bad either!!!

Well all things must ultimately come to an end as we need to go re-coup the 11 year old back in D - for those in line to see the show on this tour strap on your seat belts!!

We have AWESOME vids and pics to post - we were practically on stage with the man last night!!

RE: NYC 3.4.10
Glad you enjoyed your two shows and I can't wait to see the NYC videos!

I'm also very much relieved to see someone else living in the U.S. who is equally impressed with David Ford. I was starting to think I was the only one and, to be perfectly honest, it was a LOT of pressure.

Chicago is one week from today. Seven days... Lots of hours... But SOON! Big Grin

Can't wait to see your footage, David. It was so great to sit with you and Maria last night. What a funny coincidence that was! It made what was already an amazing show all the better.

I smiled when I read your setlist and saw your "awesome!" after She's Not the One. I agree...I said to Margaret last night that that might be a new favorite to hear live. It got the room totally energized, and I couldn't stop smiling and dancing in my chair. Definitely a highlight for me.

I hate taking notes at shows, but without you there tonight and tomorrow I feel like I should at least TRY to fill your shoes as Scribe! I'll see what I can do. Big Grin

You're definitely not alone, Kelly! But I know what you mean; it's a little weird being a fan on this side of the pond when he has such a strong following overseas.

But I've built a nice little Fordy bubble here in NYC. I've found it hard to get people to come to shows (that's a NYC thing in general), but when I do manage to get someone to go, they ALWAYS--bar none--want to see him again. His shows are addictive!! I think last night was number 14 for me, which I realize is a little ridiculous, but I just can't stop. Have car, will travel--even if it often means I'm in the car 5 times longer than his set. Ugh!

I so wish I could join you in Chicago, but I guess I've gotta draw the line somewhere. Boooooo! Have a blast, and tell us all about it!

angel.

Maybe the greatest of heroes inhabit the stories that nobody hears.

RE: NYC 3.4.10
so major crisis just averted.................maria left the camera on the plane!!

so shot back to the airport got the run around from lost and found and decided to go to the gate...........and there it was!! I practically cried tears of joy - it was a nice re-enforcement of the good in man..........

it wasn't the camera but the pictures inside...........we were devastated when we realized it was gone...............

so all to come over the weekend!
oh and just got a note from wibberley - they were thoroughly impressed with last night - sounds like David is very excited about it!
