The freshly-squeezed re-recording of 'Go To Hell' is now available to listen to on Myspace, with a massively improved piano line and more harmonies and strings and than you can shake a stick at. It almost feels like a brand new song...

I've been listening to it on repeat for the past half hour, so if the American public don't love this then they probably don't have ears...

Good work, Original Signal!
Doesn't he have any new songs yet? This is 4 years old now, and there have been about 5 different versions ("perfect 20:20 technicolor..."). Is changing a few piano lines and making it a bit more sparkly going to break David Ford in America?
Chris, I remember him saying in an interview that songs don't come to him very often, and that's presumably another reason David and record labels don't get on so well... but I agree, if he's going to continue to pull in the crowds in increasing numbers, there has to be new material. To Hell With The World is fantastic, but there needs to be more!

And of course, stepping foot outside of America sometime soon would be good too...
To be honest, I don't see a UK career getting too much bigger than now; I think, much like Tom McRae, he's perhaps hit his ceiling. I definitely think there's more opportunity in the States.

I appreciate that you can't just pull songs of the calibre we're used to out of your arse, but it just seems odd to keep peddling old material. That said, I do remember there were apparently 30 songs recorded in the space of around six months in 2004...
i really dont care for the new version of the song, really dont think all the new lines was neccesary at all, doesnt add to it, i feel it subtracts from the superior original version but then im used to the other version maybe to new ears it sounds better, but if aint broke dont fix it.
Oh, I love the piano line... but that's because I love anything that has some piano in it I fear... on the other hand I like the first version better. It feels a little too layered now. It's missing some of that raw emotion now... if that is the right way to say it.

Thing I don't like at all... female vocals in the background... :?

But maybe I'm too used to the original version myself... mmmm...

PS. it's just me or David's Myspace page is all messed up now?
Gosh. I've just given it a whirl.... it's a tiny bit shiny-white-fake-teeth just a little too stars and stripes. It's got a slight lacquer that, I, personally felt wasn't the Ford we love(d)... but I guess pleasing me doesn't doesn't pay the bills (not like that).

If he really wanted to break the states he could do Go To Hell feat. Timberland...?

I do hope Milk & Cookies this year doesn't have a light show, an orchestra and a VIP area. Oh well.
well, i love it! and i think it's an improvement on the original.

so, where and when can we buy?
