from the Guildhall website
MUSIC
Word Of Mouth (Music and Events) and the Guildhall present Acoustica: David Ford + special guests Acoustica presents the best acoustic and semi acoustic music in the most intimate surroundings. We've been eagerly pursuing this months guest for more than a year. Enigmatic, intensely soulful and thought provoking - to describe him as an unforgettable performer would be an understatement. David Fords new album Songs For The Road was described by Word magazine as embodying the eternal thrill of a young man going way too far and pulling it off. The Sunday Times made it their Album of the Week and Clash magazine called it quite simply a classic. His powerful and physical live performances have won him great acclaim both in the UK and the USA where he toured throughout 2006 alongside Ray Lamontagne, Aimee Mann, KT Tunstall and Elvis Costello. His recent tour ended with an already legendary sold out show at Londons Shepherds Bush Empire. Its been worth the wait now weve got him! www.acoustica-guildhall.co.uk |
